Another behind the scenes look in Puglia

June 6th, 2008 · Tags: Behind the Scenes · Discovering Food · Italy · Puglia · Recipe

Anyone have a guess where I went? Or what’s in the photo?

    a) to a bakery
    b) some kind of weird glazed ciambella made only in Puglia?

Do we have to wait until tomorrow for the answer? How will I get through the day?

Looks like doughnuts of some sort with icing. Or ears that have been cryogenically frozen. :D

Donut or alien takeover – one of the two. I’ll assume it’s a pastry.

They look like shrimp covered in some sort of sweet glaze. I have another thought, but will keep it to myself to be polite.

I don’t know but if that is powdered sugar icing – I’m in! I was going to vote donut-like thingys. they look slightly disturbing but delicious nonetheless. I’m going to be really disappointed if they are not edible. ::wink::
