Now that I’ve recovered from my sickness, I can put up some pictures from the Expats in Italy Get-Together in Greve in Chianti.

Of course, I remember my pictures as really capturing the moment, the happiness and the openness of the event.

Instead, what they really look like are: creepy white hazy backgrounds and people either talking, eating or making strange faces. Amateur photographer strikes out again.

I will post them just for posterity’s sake. Take note these are some of the best! Sara, our pics didn’t come out good!

Our very own Expats in Italy Love Connection, Dora & Jim….What do we call them…Dim? Jora? Shucks, it only works with celebrities….I hear they are set to do a reality blog on them moving to the U.S. (you heard it here first)

Perhaps the only “artistic” shot I got…the smoke lasted that long because it was pretty cold!

Expats in Italy founder Cristina welcoming everyone

Special thanks to Gia and Deme, my lovely, patient ride to the GTG

Kellee, my new American Idol (and not that Clarkson chick)

I forgot to take the picture of the stacks and stacks of English books people were trading…what a sight to see! I think some were offloading their books (me included) and there were a lot left over.

The weather wasn’t great but hell, we were still in Italy! Chianti is of course beautiful and it reminded me of the several times I’ve driven through there. We stopped in Greve in Chianti for a picnic lunch.

I really thought it was a great group and I was so glad to put names with everyone’s “handle” on the message board. I was really struck at there being so many people from California! Let’s do it again soon!

Loving the hazy-shades-of-winter look (and it sure felt like it, too!)… and your “Idol” comment cracks me up, BTW: flattery will, as they say, get you everywhere. ;>

I wonder whatever happened with the leftover books?
I’m reading Baci da Malibu now, THANK YOU for all the books! It is really a confidence boost to read and find that one actually understands what’s going on in the book :)

I’m quite positive that there will be a new Monster GTG next year, hope to see you there!

I definitely have some blackmail pics available… :) These are the pics with the least bad-LSD-trip feeling. I hope we GTG soon!

I have some black mail photos too but I am too nice to put them to good use. I think it is hilarious how an infamous pair of orange pants keeps showing up on the Monster GTG photos. Ha ha!

P.S. can you email me that photo of Deme and me. I love it!
