Some of you may have noticed this nifty little icon on the right side of my blog. It will be there for all of November as I participate in Nanowrimo<\/a> – National Novel Writing Month. Participants will try to write 50,000 words (~175 pages) in 30 days (Nov. 1-30). You still have time to join, and it’s a great exercise for creative writing! It’s about quantity, not quality, anyway. <\/p>\n

I am working on a totally new story that I hadn’t written about before to try and get the real sense of what it means to do that many words in such a short time…wish me luck. I’m at 3,200 words already. <\/p>\n

I’ll be heading to Torino tomorrow (home of 2006 Winter Olympics<\/a> if you didn’t know) and hopefully meeting up with some other expats and we’ll do some ethnic food shopping. <\/p>\n

Well, seems like the American people have spoken and W’s not doing too well in their eyes.<\/p>\n
