I have cravings. Don’t you? On the search for good coffee in Paris<\/a>, I ended up at Holybelly<\/em><\/strong>, a coffee place with a\u00a0serious affinity for American breakfast.<\/p>\n

I’ve never been a big pancake fan, and to this day, I still don’t order them first on a breakfast menu. I’d probably order eggs, a burrito, french toast, or maybe eggs benedict before I’d order pancakes, but this combination was so delicious, I’m still thinking about it months after.<\/p>\n

The name of this dish is about as inspiring as it looks, but it’s absolutely plate-licking. I ate the whole thing! On their menu it’s called “Pancake, fried egg, pancake again, fried egg again (yes!), crispy bacon et Bourbon butter.<\/em>” Pretty clear what it is, right? \u00a0If I were to rename it, I would call it the ‘Brutto, ma Buono Pancake Stack<\/strong>‘ – on a take from the Italian cookies, Brutti ma Buoni<\/em>, ugly but good. And the crispy bacon? They totally nailed it.<\/p>\n

I’ll see about recreating it at home, but I would order it again. Here the delicious, but ugly, cross-section:<\/p>\n
