Who can remember the first time they were allowed to eat chocolate for breakfast? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Nutella<\/strong> is more than just a \u201cchocolaty hazelnut spread<\/em>,\u201d it is a way of life<\/strong>. From childhood memories to oozing hot crepes, from breakfasts on vacation, to free-spooning sessions on the couch, Nutella<\/strong> is present in the memories of many of the children and grown-up children in the world.<\/p>\n

Last year we gave it its own holiday, and this year we’re continuing the tradition.<\/p>\n

Sara from Ms. Adventures in Italy<\/a> and Michelle from Bleeding Espresso<\/a> (and Shelley from At Home in Rome,<\/a> in spirit) solemnly declare February 5th \u201cWorld Nutella Day,\u201d 2008<\/strong> – a day to celebrate, to get creative with, and most importantly, to EAT Nutella<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nHow to participate:<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n

  1. Make a recipe using Nutella<\/strong>. Take a picture of yourself eating Nutella<\/strong> with a BIG spoon. Make art with Nutella<\/strong>. Wax poetic about Nutella<\/strong>. Re-live your first experience eating Nutella<\/strong>. Have a Nutella<\/strong>-eating contest or a Nutella<\/strong> party! <\/li>\n
  2. Take pictures, upload a video, and blog about it from now until February 4th, 2008<\/strong>. <\/li>\n
  3. Email nutelladay<\/strong> [at] nutelladay<\/strong> [dot] com<\/strong>. with Subject: Nutella Day Entry<\/em> and include your name, your site name, and your permalink\/URL by February 4th, 2008<\/strong>. You can also attach one<\/strong> 100\u00d7100pixel photo of your dish-etc. to be included in the roundup. We\u2019ll be posting the round-up on the 6th of February<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. On your blog, please include the Nutella Day 2008 badge and\/or a link<\/strong> pointing to this post so others can participate, too!<\/li>\n
  5. Tag\/categorize<\/strong> your post with \u201cNutella Day<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
