Draw a line and see if the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deviantart.com\/deviation\/40255643\/\">Line Rider<\/a> will make it through your sled course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sorry for my lack of posts this week, I had what we call a <em>una settimana tosta<\/em>, a hard week. Or another way to say it, <em>una settimana allucinante<\/em>, an amazing week (not in a good way). Someday I&#8217;ll blog about it. Also, only two days until <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanowrimo.org\/\">Nanowrimo<\/a> &#8211; I haven&#8217;t done any pre-work that I am seeing other people do (plotting, etc.) but I will try to think about at least what I&#8217;m going to do on November 1st at 0:01. It&#8217;s not too late to join!<\/p>\n<p>But in the meantime we&#8217;ve got company! My brother-in-law and his girlfriend are here with us for a few days. Since they&#8217;ve never been to Milan, we&#8217;ve got our &#8220;tour guide&#8221; hats on. <\/p>\n<p>The weather was really nice the past few days, allowing us to walk around in light long sleeve shirts\/tops. The cold is supposed to arrive this week (boo). There were tourists everywhere, and it was an active weekend for Milan, but at least this time I had my camera with me:<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/msadventuresinitaly\/282433061\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.flickr.com\/96\/282433061_721348b209.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Inside the Duomo in Milan\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I saw this a few weeks ago but didn&#8217;t have my camera to blog about it &#8211; a photo show that&#8217;s literally on the streets, a part of the <em>Grandi Mostri all&#8217;Aperto<\/em> which takes place often on the Via Dante, that runs from Castello Sforzesco to the Duomo. This year&#8217;s is called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emozionidalcielo.it\/\">Italia: Emozioni dal Cielo<\/a> (Italy, Emotions from the Sky) and it will be there until December 27th and is worth seeing.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/msadventuresinitaly\/282433086\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.flickr.com\/95\/282433086_1a366cc4ca.jpg?resize=500%2C336\" width=\"500\" height=\"336\" alt=\"Art show in Milan\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Last year&#8217;s show was called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saggezze.com\/homepage.htm\">Saggezze dell&#8217;Umanita<\/a>&#8216;&#8221; &#8211; Humanity&#8217;s Wisdom (my translation) and the photos were really amazing, also because it had some wonderful photos of people. This year&#8217;s is beautiful as well, but a little different as it&#8217;s pictures of Italy from above and not of their colorful inhabitants. It was interesting to see some places I hadn&#8217;t been to before and might want to check out!<\/p>\n<p>From the tram I saw some colorful banners in Parco Sempione and as we neared Castello Sforzesco, we discovered there was a fair going on inside for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capodannoceltico.com\/\">Capodanno Celtico<\/a> &#8211;  <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Celtic_new_year\">Celtic New Year<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/msadventuresinitaly\/282433031\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.flickr.com\/94\/282433031_fe9379d4c4.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Celtic New Year at Castello Sforzesco\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>There were many people in &#8220;period dress&#8221; and some more modern things like art booths and beer stands serving &#8220;grog&#8221; &#8211; I even saw some go as far as to pour the beer into their &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/images?svnum=10&#038;hl=en&#038;lr=&#038;client=firefox-a&#038;rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&#038;q=drinking+horn&#038;btnG=Search\">drinking horns<\/a>.&#8221; We listened to some good live music but we didn&#8217;t stick around for the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jousting\">joust<\/a> on horseback.<\/p>\n<p>Today we went to Como since it was a blindingly sunny day. There&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/extratv.warnerbros.com\/v2\/news\/1006\/24\/1\/text.html\">rumor<\/a> that Tom Cruise will get married at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.villadeste.it\/\">Villa d&#8217;Este<\/a> on Lake Como in November, and today we had lunch a few feet from that beautiful villa in Cernobbio.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/msadventuresinitaly\/282433176\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.flickr.com\/108\/282433176_178e8c0c34.jpg?resize=375%2C500\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" alt=\"Lake Como from Cernobbio\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The sun was shining so it made a perfect rainbow on this fountain on the lake.
