Italy Running Events: Marathons and Half Marathons

Back in 2002, I did a half-marathon in San Francisco, the first one that crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, and it was an amazing experience. I never thought I’d be a runner, but there’s something I love about that “runner’s high” that I got from doing outdoor runs in California. I’m looking for other similar opportunities in Italy. I will probably never do a marathon, but a half-marathon and a few smaller races will be good goals (update: I did another half marathon in July 2012).

Below I have started listing big races in Italy, the month which they normally occur, and the date for the latest year (if I’ve found the info). Not all sites will have English information.

If you know of a race or running event I’m missing or have updated information for an event listed here, please contact me on the Contact Me page.
