I'm happy to see three of my "local" favorites from southeast Texas on your list. (I count Cajun as local...I'm only 30 minutes away!) :-)

Along with Dan's comments on Maryland Steamed Crabs, I would like to add a good Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. In Baltimore, nothing beats Faidley's in the world famous Lexington Market. I can't testify this is their recipe, but I found it on-line:

Vernors - the Michigan version of Ginger Ale. It's FABULOUS! (but an acquired taste) You can't beat it when your tummy is upset after a night of drinking - all of that ginger does help to calm it down!
