I’ve just stepped off a train, back from the ponte, the long weekend. We were coming from Rome and I knew the craziness that surrounds the huge May 1 concert would make it hard for us to do a normal night train, so we got a cuccette. Ah, che bliss!

And the winner of the Ms. Adventures in Italy has Moved contest is comment #24, Brilynn!! Congratulations! Please email me about the prize. Think about if you want the Notecards or the Amazon Gift Certificate! Thanks to everyone for commenting!

Caption this photo from this weekend:

This man is running through the streets of Spoleto (I was running behind with the camera) carrying several loaves of bread and talking on his cell phone because….

On his way home for Sunday lunch his wife calls: “Come mai ci metti tanto? Ti sei fermato per l’aperitivo non è vero?”

I don’t have a caption idea, but I am amused because in the picture it really looks like at any second he is going to turn around and catch you snapping shots of him!

I see he has a wedding ring, so I agree his wife is on the other line. Where is he coming from, wearing a suit?

I think he is saying “Ciao amore, arriverò presto.”

I was surprised he didn’t notice me, I decided to take the picture a little late in the game and whipped it out while running downhill (that’s towards the end of the slope)

I will enter my own entry (I didn’t hear him): Coming fresh from his girlfriend’s house that no one knows about, he’s heading to his mother’s and assuring her he got the bread and he’ll be there any minute.

My italian isn’t so good yet, so I won’t go out on a limb just yet.

However, this man is definitely saying, “Fill up the bathtub with butter, baby, I’m coming home!”

@All - you can definitely caption in English! :)
@Catherine - thanks! I can only imagine what else he was saying…
@Finny - I think you win this round for sure!!!

He is calling his wife and saying: Amore, I have the perfect thing to celebrate you getting off the Atkins diet :)
