London, A Menu for Hope, the Tour del Gelato

December 8th, 2006 · Tags: Menu for Hope · Tour del Gelato · Travels Abroad

I’m in London for the long weekend, and it’s shaping up to be a great one. Friends and more friends, and a –little– bit of shopping. Just a little. More pictures later.

Menu for Hope III

This year I’m participating in the Menu for Hope III, which is basically the best online charity raffle for foodies and winelovers, ever. On December 11th, Chez Pim will be posting the entire “menu” and David Lebovitz will be posting the European entries, with more details on my “prize” and you’ll be able to start bidding, with the money benefiting the United Nations World Food Programme.

Helping a good cause has never been so easy, or so rewarding!! All I can tell you is you’re going to love my prize, and you’re going to want everyone you know to bid on it. It’s going to involve Italian food and foodstuffs.

Tour del Gelato

Also, a reminder for those of you working on your Tour del Gelato stops – I know it’s hard to get out there and force every bite of delicious creamy gelato past your lips, but just remember that we all have to make sacrifices, and in the name of truth in reporting! I look forward to seeing your entries. Let me know when they’re up and I’ll add them to the blogroll.
