Winter has officially started here in Pavia…in some areas, snow is still on the ground. I can’t wait to see how this neighborhood decorates for the holidays!!!
Speaking of decorating, if you download this video, you will see what it means to have “too much time on your hands,” and of course this only happens in the States. Imagine the same person putting that much effort into eliminating poverty or bringing technology to 3rd world countries, or even separating his recycling. But I digress.
To be honest, it seems more like “look how good of a concert lighting engineer I could be” rather than “look how much I love the Holidays.” Could you call the cops for ‘disturbing the peace’ if you were his neighbor?
Shiny table splendid table, red to be together and presents that make you happy, XXX means quality and imagination for a Christmas filled with magic …
After seeing this on one of the websites that my company runs, I tried to offer my “native speaker” services to fix the English. Also, I told them that Merry Christmas was not really PC anymore, and they should strive to use “Happy Holidays.” I mentioned it might be “too Catholic,” which my comment was met by a blank stare.
Red to be together…Is that like “meant to be together??” To give them some credit, red was the predominate color in the picture.
Luckily, I found out later that the client insisted on providing the English text themselves. Also, my management and everyone else involved urged me not to be directly involved on this one.
Speaking of my job…this little ode to the System Administrator (similar, but not exactly what I’m doing now) makes me laugh.
Also, Google Video lets you search through videos, and one person has created the blog for Google Video of the Day to find some interesting and/or funny videos to watch.
I’d recommend checking out this video UNLESS you are offended by farting or televangelist preachers…and ESPECIALLY if you are offended by both of them together. The beginning is the funniest part. My question is…do you think he’s getting more business now?
Good night all…hope there’s no snow tomorrow so I can ride my bike peacefully to the train station.
